Week 2
Day 1

MondayFor I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. - Philippians 3:13 NLT

Reflect: Our power is in our relationship with Jesus. We will face trials, pressures, and troubles, but we have an advocate (Christ) who will give us the strength we need.

Pray; Father, help me to seek you when I face trials and temptations. I struggle in my own strength and need to rely on you.

Day 2
Tuesday - When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers – the moon and the stars you have set in place – what are mortals that you should think of us, mere humans that you should care for us? - Psalm 8:3-4 NLT

Reflect: As we look at nature, we see the handiwork of God.  Isn’t it amazing to consider everything he has created! It makes us wonder how he can care about us. The truth is, even though we sin and fall short, he still loves us.

Pray: Father, I praise you for everything you have created. Thank you for loving me no matter what.

Day 3
Wednesday - I think how much you have helped me; I sing for joy in the shadow of your protecting wings. - Psalm 64:7 NLT

Reflect: Take a moment and reflect over your life. Can you remember times God has protected you? Have you needed to hide in the shelter of His wings? What protection do you need today?

Pray: Father, help me to see the times you have protected me. I praise you. I have a refuge in you.  Help me to rest and trust you.

Day 4
Thursday - If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the  Good News you will find true life.” - Mark  8:35 NLT

Reflect: Three questions to ask: Am I allowing God to direct my paths? Do I care about people who don’t know him? Am I willing to risk ridicule as I follow God and share the Good News?

Pray: Father, give me a person I can pray for. Give me eyes to see the opportunities you give. Give me the words to speak.

Day 5
Friday - This “foolish” plan of God is far wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is far stronger than the greatest of human strength. - 1 Corinthians 1:25  NLT

Reflect:  Believing and following Jesus sounds foolish to people who don’t. God uses the simple things of this world to confuse the wise.  Without God’s word we are true fools.

Pray: Father, help me to be wise in you even if I’m a fool to others.
