Week 4
Day 1

Monday - Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. - Psalm 100:3  NLT

Reflect: When we get busy in our day to day activities it’s easy to forget God created us. The world tells us we can be our own God. Is God the center of your world or has something else slipped in and taking his place?

Pray: Father, help me to see when I replace you with something else. Thank you for uniquely creating me.

Day 2
Tuesday - Don’t just pretend that you love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. - Romans 12:9  NLT

Reflect: We have all learned to be polite, but God asks us to have a real love for others. This could require time, money, and involvement in other people’s lives. Are we willing to do that?

Pray: Father, forgive me for being selfish with my time, money, and personal involvement. Show me the person you would like me to reach out to.

Day 3
Wednesday- Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. - 1 Peter 3:15  NLT

Reflect: If someone were to ask why you believe in Jesus, how would you respond? Would you be able to explain your faith to them? Remember, sometimes people just need to hear our story with God. That’s what it means to “witness”.

Pray: Father, someone shared their faith and I crossed the line. Show me the person I should be sharing my faith with.

Day 4
Thursday - When you bow down before the Lord and admit your dependence on him, he will lift you up and give you honor. - James 4:10  NLT

Reflect: When we humble ourselves we will recognize our dependence upon God. It’s then we can give up doing things our way and ask God what he would like us to do.

Pray: Father, please forgive me for trying to do things my way instead of relying upon you.

Day 5
Friday- Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. - Revelation 21:1  NLT

Reflect: One day this earth will pass away and we live on a new earth with God. Remembering this helps me to let go of things and allow God to control my schedule.

Pray: Father, help me to remember this world is not my home and that one day you will return for us. Show me the areas in my life in need of change.
